Wow, amazing how things like this revive themselves from time to time, out of boredom, from the search for community in the art world.

Graduated in May from MICA, now I'm looking furiously for a job in a field related to my education. It is becoming increasingly difficult, however, because the architects won't have anything to do with me because I don't have a Bachelors in Architecture - I possess a new and wonderful Bachelors of Fine Art in Environmental Design - which does more to daunt and confuse employers, it seems, then stimulate interest and encourage their immediate attention to my unique skills (as it was advertised by my school).

That being said, my career search is a work in progress, a job in itself really. If anyone knows someone in Architecture or Interior Design in the DC-Metro area, I would be much obliged if you could put them in contact with me, or vice-versa.

So yes, this was about art, wasn't it?

I have been sketching lately. Crazy things, photo inspired charcoals with conte, etc. I'm trying to revive something I was doing with illustration that I really wanted to delve into more, but just didn't have the time.

Keep on the look out: I'm keeping my hands busy.
